After spending the first half of the '90's as a full time watercolor artist, the combination of family obligations and a hand injury forced me into retirement. Since then I have found plenty of other things to occupy my time, and starting in 2005 I became heavily involved with a wonderful project in Bryansk Russia: the Yolochka Kid's Camp. This camp has had a profound inpact on an entire generation of young people in Southwestern Russia, but the place has had very limited capital improvements since it was built in the '50's as a Young Pioneer Camp by the Soviets. The camp is desperately overdue for important upgrades and repairs, and I have decided to bring back my artwork in an effort to help the cause. I will be keeping the proceeds from any originals I sell, but until we raise enough money for new beds, showers, and bathrooms at the camp, every penny from every print and card I sell will be going to the camp for our "Bed, Bath, in Bryansk" project.

At the end of 2011 I was able to resume painting, and I'm excited to be creating and displaying new works after a 15 year hiatus. You can subscribe to the Artwork Feed at the bottom left hand corner of the page to see new paintings as I post them
